Community Development

We invest in opportunities to build a stronger region where everyone can thrive.

Mr. Woodruff wished for everyone connected with Coca-Cola to prosper, a wish that extended to his hometown. He invested in building Atlanta into a world-class, forward-looking city where prosperity is shared and opportunity is within reach of all residents.

Our giving for community development, which makes up a modest part of our average grants portfolio (see chart), focuses on major projects to improve the quality of life in metro Atlanta. We prioritize initiatives that support downtown development, connect our region, and strengthen civic infrastructure. We occasionally consider support for significant community development projects outside Atlanta.

We do not fund projects that lack broad public and private support.
