The Robert W. Woodruff Foundation has awarded more than 2,300 grants totaling $4.2 billion since 1937. We steward resources by following Mr. Woodruff’s giving priorities and operate with a relatively lean staff and overhead, which allows us to devote more resources to grants. More than 96% of the Foundation’s annual spending goes directly to grantmaking.
