The Robert W. Woodruff Foundation's principal giving interests are focused on the following program areas:
Traditionally, preference has been given to one-time capital projects and to other extraordinary needs of well-established public charities.
Limitations: Grants generally are limited to tax-exempt public charities and selected governmental agencies located and operating in Georgia. Grants to qualified public charities headquartered outside Georgia occasionally are considered when it is demonstrated that the proposed project or program will have particular impact in Georgia and the project fits within the Foundation's program interests. Awards for basic operating expenses usually are avoided. No grants to individuals. No loans.
